How Lord Strengthens Us Through Hardship!

Hello there family! I hope all is well with everyone there! Things are going so much better here! (I was kind of struggling with this recent transfer.) I have been praying for a lot of love and understanding for the purpose of being transferred. It is amazing to see how much the Lord has blessed me with that already! This truly is the Lords work!

This week has been full of tracting because well we literally have NO investigators! BUT! We did get fed every night this week! THAT HAS YET TO HAPPEN ON MY MISSION! That was cool! The members here are AWWWEEEESOOOOMMMEEEE! Love them!

DSCN5443We also had to bike to Springfield one day! That was about a a 22 mile round trip bike ride! It was actually pretty fun! Ohio has has the nations largest network of paved bikes trails! Who knew they would come in handy?! The trail we use is seriously the coolest! It is paved on an old rail line so it is like tree covered the entire way! We did have to bike home in the dark which was kind of sketchy but we made it! hahaha! Overall it was a good time! We may do it again! We are sharing a car with the other Springfield Elders so that should help with that!

WE ARE ALSO GETTING IPADS SO FREAKIN SOON!! I AM SOOO EXCITED! THAT ALSO MEANS WE BECOME FACEBOOK MISSIONARIES TOO! šŸ˜€

Anyways, all is well in Zion we are just working hard trying to find people to teach! I love you all and I am so grateful for everyone’s support!

P.S. My birthday is coming up on the 15th! šŸ˜‰

BAPTISM and TRANSFERS! AHHH!

Hey Everyone!

This week has been crazy! But it has been a good week! It has been full of lots of prayers for Kendal and Dad for them to quickly recover as well as frantically trying to find new people to teach (No dice on that one, still looking!) It has been amazing to hear about all the people coming together to support!

I am sorry this post is going to be so short but I just wanted to say everything is going well ANNNDDDDD We had a baptism last week! Grace and Victoria were baptized! It was such a great experience! And very exciting!

ALSO! I am being transferred! So until I get my new address send all mail to the mission home!

Week 25

Mom is doing the post this week.Ā  This is the email he sent to us.Ā  He didn’t have time to update his blog so I decided to do it for him.
(I had to finish this today because I didn’t get a chance to finish yesterday!)

Hello Family!

Yeah we (Parker and Sister Abbie McIntyre from Stansbury Park are both serving in the mission and their mutual friend Sister Kendal Levine was hit by a car on Friday while serving her mission in Australia)Ā  have been keeping each other updated on Kendal, I had heard from her about the football game part. ( At the Stansbury football game on Friday night they did a pass the bucket thing and raised 1200 for Kendal) We sent out a voicemail to the mission about that so our mission has her in our prayers! Yeah we MAYBE have 10 stakes in Ohio, (IĀ  told him we had a regional conference and 68 Stakes were involved from the Salt Lake and Tooele area)Ā  We only have 5 stakes in our mission that covers most of Ohio! But That is awesome you had regional conference! I should be good for now on subway cards, I still have barely used the one you gave me, Grandma Gail had stocked me up on them too! We only have fast food chains in our area, OH! AND Chipotle! That place is pretty good! The Gibson’s are good! They have a baptismal interview in a bit that we have to run off too (They Passed!), but they are scheduled to get baptized this Saturday! We haven’t seen Elmer this week because he was helping his dad when we stopped by! And the guy who asked about MoTab doesn’t live in my area he actually lives in the other mission. Elder Peterson and I are doing good! We are definitely great friends which is good! We actually didn’t do a lot of service this week the food pantry we actually serve at changed their hours and so we can’t go as regularly. But we are trying to think of other ways to serve, the members and other things! I have been learning this week a lot about the influence we have on people around us, while we were at the fair EVERYONE was watching us because of the way we were dressed it was just interesting to see that!Ā  Breakfast is good, we had it with them today, nothing too exciting happened. Best part of the week was honestly our Zone Activity yesterday (We played capture the flag, football and Ultimate frisbee!) because it was a big stress reliever! The hardest part of the week was not finding new investigators as well as hearing about Kendal, but we are praying for her recovery! OH! I found out yesterday that one of the Sisters in my Zone, worked with me a the PCC! Thought that was pretty funny! anyways! I love you all and you are in my prayers daily! LOVE YOUUUU!!!!

Ohio Caverns and more!

This week has been a good one! I would say the best part of it was going to the Morrow County fair on exchanges as well as going to the Ohio Caverns with our investigator Mike!! That was a lot fun! haha We went fair contacting and handed out pass-along cards and that was really good! We met this guy who stopped us and asked us a lot about the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and when they perform and such! THE BEST PART was having the Gibson’s (The Part member family with the 2 daughters who are getting baptized) at church and they brought 2 friends! That was way cool! The hardest part of this week has been to find new people to teach! We hope to start working with those 2 friends that the Gibson’s brought! I did get the package thank you for it! šŸ™‚ The sucker was super funny! I laughed! haha! While I was on exchanges we worked on a Habitat for Humanity house painting! That was a lot of fun! I have always enjoyed painting! We also helped Elmer dig a trench! (MY FAVORITE!!! šŸ˜‰ ) haha no it was good! We also last night talked with one of the recent Amish converts (They call themselves Mormish haha!) But any way we talked with him on how it would be best to go about sharing the gospel with Elmer and he gave us a lot of good feedback that we are going to try. We have to take it super super slow to avoid him being shunned! Its scary stuff! The weather is about as random as Utah. One day it will be hot and humid the next blue skies and perfect, the next raining! Or sometimes we will get all three in one day! Most of our dinner appointments are spur of the moment things! Which is nice, because I don’t have to cook as much as I did in my last area! but They are pretty random! Last Tuesdays breakfast went awesome, we met more of the Pastors of the town. there is only one pastor (who doesn’t attend the breakfast) that teaches anti-mormon stuff. We have come in contact with a few of the members of his congregation and they have pulled out anti mormon material. But all the other religious leaders in town like us and think it is shallow to do that. That has been our goal with attending these breakfasts is to make peace and create friendships so they don’t go back to their congregations and spread lies and false information. My companion is doing good! I did part of his laundry for him and of course cooked for him! This week has been pretty good! I definitely see lots of room for improvement but It was good! šŸ™‚

Here is Us in the Ohio Caverns with Mike!
